ABOUT THIS ALBUM:

Over The Moon is proud to present our very first release, a deeply intimate exploration into downtempo realms from the ever dynamic producer Keerd. Thoughtfully constructed, melodic and alternating between ambient and sophisticated beat-driven explorations, Lost in a Daydream invites the listener to explore the spectrum of human emotions, where dark and kinetic spaces evolve into light.

From Keerd: "Lost in a Daydream is a reflection of my life for the last year or so. Being stuck in isolation for so long made it easy for my mind to wander down a dark path, looking at things with a bitter perspective, and wishing for things that weren't there. Most of the titles on the release were relevant to how I was feeling or what I was going through as I wrote the tunes. Completing this release has really helped me overcome the feeling of general sadness and wishful thinking I was experiencing and start to change my outlook in a more positive light. This release feels more personal to me than anything I've released before and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out."

ABOUT THIS ARTIST:

Keerd is fascinated by how music influences the environment around us - how it sets the scene and tells a story that reflects the writer's emotions or experiences in unique ways. With the California native’s background in sound design, he has been perfecting his craft in electronic music for the past decade. This multi-genre producer strives to tell stories through his music and mixes, taking the listener on a kinetic yet spacious journey with his original sounds and movements. He is a founding member of Inquiry Collective and assists in managing their record label, Inquiry Records.

ABOUT THE LABEL:

Over The Moon is the new sister imprint of Behind The Sky Music, a record label created by established electronic producer Bluetech which is committed to releasing high quality limited edition vinyl presses of analog and modular synth music. Formed during the pandemic lockdown, Over The Moon is a collaboration between label partners and longtime friends Evan Bartholomew (Bluetech) and Maggie Houtz (DJ Maggie). The two work closely on co-producing the weekly Twitch audiovisual show Holotropic Happy Hour as well as the various artists Matters of the Heart compilation in summer of 2021 for Behind the Sky. Maggie’s love for - and encyclopedic knowledge of - downtempo electronica is the guiding force in curating a catalog of gorgeous and emotional electronic music. Over The Moon was born out of an inspiration to showcase more explicitly electronic, beat-driven music that sits just outside the parameters of the Berlin school ambient and analog synth-oriented releases of Behind The Sky.
